Welcome. I’m Chanelle Breeze, founder of Ikonic Destinations. I created this business for the people who want the trip to be as memorable as the place itself — and who would rather enjoy it than organise every detail.
A Destination Is Only The Beginning
I’ve always been fascinated by what makes one trip stay with you while another simply becomes somewhere you’ve been. Often it’s the people you meet, the meal you linger over, the local story you didn’t expect, or a moment of stillness in a beautiful setting.
Travel, food, hospitality, wellbeing, movement, nature and adventure have all played a part in my own life. I’ve travelled throughout New Zealand and overseas, worked in hospitality and luxury accommodation, spent more than a decade in real estate and another decade in coaching, consulting and business. Different paths, but the same thread: people, places, experiences and the details that make something memorable.
I don’t want Ikonic Destinations to simply take you somewhere beautiful. I want you to experience what makes that place worth travelling for.
So, What Exactly Is Ikonic Destinations?
We curate premium group travel and experiences around the people taking them. That might be a wellness day with your friends, a girls’ escape, a bridal celebration, a milestone worth making a trip out of, a hosted retreat or a bespoke group journey.
We listen first: who’s coming, what you love, what you’re celebrating and how you want to feel. Then we bring together the destination, stay, food, local people and experiences that fit your group. No two trips need to look alike.
The Experiences You Might Not Find Yourself
What excites me is discovering the places and people behind a destination: exceptional stays, memorable tables, local makers, guides, hosts and practitioners. Sometimes the best part is a beautiful long lunch. Sometimes it’s a quiet morning, a little adventure or a conversation that stays with you long after you’ve come home.
It’s about shaping the whole experience so the person who suggested the trip gets to enjoy it too.
Starting Here In Aotearoa — With The World Ahead
We’re beginning in Canterbury, exploring its wine country, coast, city and alpine places. Queenstown & Central Otago are next, and Bali is on the horizon. Over time, I want Ikonic Destinations to take curious groups further — always with the same personal approach and a sense of place at the heart of it.

When I think about the trips I’ve loved most, I remember moments. Who I was with. What made us laugh. The place we almost walked past and were so glad we didn’t.
That’s what I want to share through IKONIC Destinations—and through The IKONIC Edit. My discoveries, my opinions, the places I’d happily go back to and the details I think make an experience worth having.
There’s so much I’m looking forward to exploring. But the thought that makes me smile most? Bringing people together who might otherwise have spent another six months saying, “We really should organise something.”
